Patients receiving treatment
At PANAHF, our resources are used for the screening and treatment of diabetes, hypertension and rheumatic heart valve disease targeting patients at the base of the pyramid who do not have access. This is accelerated through monetary donations, medical equipment donations, government and non-government support and access to cost price medication.
DIABETES AND HYPERTENSION SCREENINGS
Screenings are carried out in three counties; Nairobi (Kibera and Dagoretti), Makueni (Ilatu, Syumile, Kaunguni and Kamboo) and Kajiado (Entarara, Kimana, Rombo and Namelock).

THE PANAHF MISSION AND AIMS
PANAHF aims to support the general population of Kenya and in due time expand its operations to Eastern and Central Africa. Geographic expansion will follow the successful establishment of base operations.
The mission will be implemented through joint planning with community based organisations, universities, medical institutions etc. PANAHF will also form strategic partnerships with development partners supporting its objectives and those of the local government.
PANAHF aims to:
Reverse Africa's 'brain drain' by providing a sustained educational program to assist in the training of medical, nursing and allied staff to internationally recognised standards in collaboration with national and regional bodies
Raise public awareness of rheumatic heart disease through an educational program undertaken with local partners thereby reducing the existing burden
Raise public awareness of the forecast increase in coronary artery disease in sub- Saharan Africa
Establish long-term resource commitments from philanthropic bodies to support the aims and objectives of the Commission for Africa
Increase the provision of free or subsidised medical and surgical treatment for people with cardiovascular disease in Africa on an equitable basis
ABOUT PANAHF
